Our new yacht a Jeanneau 36I performance cruiser offers fantastic performance and uncompromising luxury comfort even during sailing, but is also easily handled short handed. “Aurora” has every extra available you would expect to find on a solent yacht charter, with a complete Navigation station which includes a Raymarine C120 chart plotter, fitted with Radar and AIS. In the cockpit the steering binnacle houses Raymarine Wind instruments, Depth and Log and Auto Pilot controller.

Under sail or power “Aurora” is easily handled. All lines are lead aft, and single line reefing is fitted. The mainsail and genoa are radial cut performance sails, giving outstanding performance on and off the wind.

The Galley on the solent yacht charter is well equipped with a huge fridge, twin sinks and a top of the range cooker. All galley consumables such as tea, coffee, salt and pepper etc are provided free of charge.There are 3 luxury double cabins, all of which have heater outlets to ensure even on the coldest of nights you get a good nights sleep. 2 further berths are available in the main saloon. Pillows and pillow cases are provided, sleeping bags can be provided if required. “Aurora” is fully coded to MCA standards for use up to 60NM offshore, there fore you will find all of her safety equipment regularly maintained and ready for use.

You will require RYA Day Skipper Practical with 3 years experience as a minimum qualification for bareboat charter.

There is a comprehensive handover to ensure you get the best out of the “Aurora” yacht during your charter, this includes a full systems brief, safety brief and a 24/7 help line should you need any advise during your trip.

Gosport Marina, Hampshire

Premier Marinas Gosport location provides an excellent base to start your charter from or to hire a boat for the day. The marina is just 30 minutes from the M27 and can also be reached very easily using public transport. The Marina boasts fantastic facilities, including luxury showers etc. Close by is the very popular Castle tavern, an ideal venue for a crew meal prior to your trip. Gunwarf Quays is only a short walk and 5 minutes on the ferry, there you can find over 80 retail outlets and numerous bars and restaurants.

When you slip your lines the Solent is only 5 minutes from the Marina berth. From the entrance of Portsmouth Harbour all of the Solent’s numerous Marinas are within a few hours sail. Cowes can be reached in just over an hour with a fair tide!!If you are planning to go further afield, Poole and Weymouth offer everything you need to the West, and to the East there is the large natural harbour of Chichester, and further afield Brighton Marina. Cherbourg and the Channel can be reached in 12-15 hours from the Solent.
