"Go Sailing" Cruises
"Go Sailing" offers you the chance to gain more experience and sea miles, or just relax and spend time on the water. These cruises are for everyone, whether you are a novice or an experienced sailor you will have a great time. You will have the benefit of a professional skipper on board who will be more than happy to let you get involved as much as you like! From helming and setting sails, to navigation and passage planning, the choice is yours.
Most cruises are over a weekend, or 3 days. Starting on a Friday evening with a crew brief and depending on destination, preparation for sea and a night passage to our first port of call. These cruises will offer potential Yachtmasters an opportunty to gain 60NM qualifing passages.
Included in the price is all food eaten on board (evening meals are ashore), use off foul weather gear, fuel and berthing fees.
Across the Channel
Leaving Gosport on Friday evening for a night passage across the Channel to the vibrant port of Cherbourg, or the picturesque fishing port of St Vaast. We will arrive on Saturday morning in time for some sight seeing and a visit to the market. We will usually arrange to eat ashore on Saturday evening in one of the many cafes and restaurants French ports have to offer. We will leave early on Sunday morning in time to catch a fair tide back to our berth in the Solent.
Visit the Channel Islands
On 3 day cr
uises we can venture a bit further, this includes visits to Braye Harbour in Alderney and St Peter Port in Gurnsey. Both offering spectacular scenary and fantastic sailing. We may either cross the Channel to Cherbourg on the first evening, then venture through the famous Alderney Race to the Channel Islands. After a night ashore in we return to the Solent on the third day. Alternativly we may visit the Channel Islands first and return via the picturesque harbour of Weymouth. During this trip you will log approximatley 200 NM and 10 night hours, for potential Yachtmasters, this will give you 2 qualifying passages.
Jurassic Cruise
We offer 2 and 3 day cruises along the stunning Jurassic coastline. Leaving the Sole
nt early on Saturday morning and heading west for Weymouth. We arrive in time to relax before heading off for a well deserved meal ashore. The following day we head back via the pretty anchorge of Studland Bay. On 3 day cruises we may leave Friday evening on a passage to Dartmouth, arriving Saturday afternoon to spend an evening moored in the beautiful surroundings of the River Dart. We then head back calling into either Weymouth or Poole the following evening.
